The reason is that the embed code is an HTML implementation, and HTML is disabled on this board. You have to use the [youtube] tag, and put the URL inside it.

[youtube ]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeynAbJX4zk[/youtube]
(note: ignore the space between "youtube" and the second bracket)
